Friendship Card

This card was a project that I took to a group meeting recently. I love all the elements in it. The papers are called "Pop Rockz" from TAC as are the stamps. I used the cuttlebug folder "swiss dots" to add the great texture to different parts of the card. And, of course, don't forget the pop dots...I am so addicted to adding these to everything!! I was inspired by NikkiA. to make this card......LOVE IT!!!! I colored in the flowers with my new Copic Markers which TAC now sells. The best part is - you can get your set for HALF PRICE when you host a stamping party with your friends. Mom's Quilt

Yeah Yeah, I know, I haven't posted on my blog for quite awhile. I am going to try my hand at doing it again and incorporate all artistic and creative aspects of my life. Soooooo, today I will show you all what I do as my "real job". Recently, I finished quilting this pansy quilt for my mom. I did a little "mctavishing" in the open areas. I think it turned out pretty nice.

Mini Photo Book Project & Cute Card

I found this great project on Splitcoast Stampers and took it as a make and take to our monthly Angel Meeting. It takes a while to decide on the design to make it your own, but really the main construction is so simple.

Just by pulling the tabs on the side, the pictures just slide out of the holder so you can view them. Absolutely CUTE!!

I also made this card this weekend for the card swap we had. I colored the girl from the Fall Harvest set from TAC with Tombow markers on glossy cardstock. She turned out so shiny and beautiful. It just "pops" off the card.

Cricut For Sale!!

Yes, it is true, I am selling my cricut. It is the original smaller one. It took a lot of coaxing and turmoil, but I have decided to upgrade to the new, larger cricut expression. I love the new capabilities and features of the larger one. So, before trying an auction service or other method, I have decided to offer my original cricut to you, my wonderful friends. This has only been used probably less than 10 times. I will be selling the machine, manuals, paper cutter, mat(s) (not for sure how many I have right now), and an extra blade or two. I am sorry, but no cartridges will be included as they will transfer over to my new cricut. But not too worry, these cartridges are readily available at many places........on the web, craft stores, wal-mart, etc. I will be taking best offers for this package, just email me your bid amount at herrsranch@rhelectric.net . No I didn't fall off the face of the earth. Life just seemed to take precedence over all other stuff in the last several months. My resolution for 2009 is to really try hard to keep my blog up-to-date. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are geared up for the new year "2009". TAC has some great stuff in store for all us this year. We are going back to a once a year catalog instead of the two per year and will have a spring and fall supplement to add just as usual. The images are going to return to full-size in the catalog, so we will know exactly what we are buying instead of guessing on the size. Well, I think Spring has sprung. We got a little taste of warm weather yesterday........makes me want more that is for sure. TAC convention is coming in a few months and I have been designing my trading items........cards, scrapbook pages, etc.

This is the last month for double hostess benefits and double customer GWP benefits. The holidays are over and the new year begun. Hopefully everyone made it through the craziness in one piece. I have to tell you......I am so excited!!!!! The New Spring 2008 Angel Company Catalog is OUT!!!!! There are some great new additions to our line of wonderful stamps, beautiful papers and amazing embellishments and tools!!! I will post a few pictures of some of my favorites later on. The January Stamp of the Month(bottom image above) and Vintage Set (top image above) of stamps are really neat also. The vintage set is particularly wonderful because I love fairies and there is one in this set. This is a must have for me. Also in January 2 through February 29, The Angel Company is offering some organizational stamp sets to help with office, papercrafting and seasonal organization. Happy Holidays to Everyone. I know I haven't posted in awhile. Life just has been keeping me pretty busy. I have recently been assigned a website for The Angel Company. Okay, I am trying to get my project pictures posted for this week. Hopefully, blogger cooperates. These projects were created for my last FunShop. And yes, they even got to take home candy bars!!! The girls changed them up a little by using a new Halloween stamp set from the Fall Supplement. They turned out really neat.

Don't forget to pre-register for the Christmas Card Buffet. I think it will be lots of fun creating cards and bouncing creative ideas off of one another.

Well, it's the middle of the week and the middle of the month. I have decided to schedule my First Annual Christmas Card Buffet. It is going to be a wonderful weekend full of stamping, crafting and friendship. On November 10 and or 11, (you choose the day, I will be having it both) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ( come for a little while or all day), I will have everything set up that you will need to create Christmas Cards........stamps, ink, printed paper, cardstock, coloring utensils of all types, punches, die cut machines, etc. You can come to create 12 christmas cards and have lunch - all for $20. Extra cards can be purchased for $1.00, and another dozen for just $10. Please pre-register, so I can make sure I have enough supplies and lunch for everyone coming. This will be held at my house. Please email me for directions and for registration. I can't wait. I think it will be lots of fun!!

Rainy September Day

Oh, what a great day to stay in and scrap. The rain is falling and the weather is cool, perfect conditions for a new card. I stole this idea from splitcoast stampers. It is a great suspension (spinner) card. It takes quite a few steps to complete, but the end result is really terrific. I think a Christmas card would look neat with this idea. I used TAC's stamp set Fanciful Flowers and the Circle Sampler set along with Rustic Chic papers.

Just a reminder, only a few days left for ordering the two great kits with limited edition stamps sets that TAC had this month. Also, if you want to have a quick throw together funshop by the end of the month to earn your FREE "Oh How" Sneak Preview stamp set. Please let me know ASAP. Labor Day Weekend Update

Boy, Did I Get Lost?

Wow, it has been a long time since I posted. Where did the time go? It is already the end of August and the start of school. Summer flew by and the family is back into a daily routine.

Last week, I had a great stamping party where I demonstrated the Liquid Applique product that the Angel Company sells. It is sure fun to use. The little flower I created at the party just had to be put to use, so I created this terrific scrapbook page featuring my daughter, TAC's wonderful papers, stamps and the fun liquid applique. LOVE IT!!!! Also love my new camera which has little fun features like being able to go black and white except for an accent color!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

Flooded

Last week, we received over 8 inches of rain in 3 days. Here is a picture taken from the bridge only a 1/4 mile from our house. The water was up to the bottom of the bridge threatening to go over. It flooded our whole bottom field of soybeans and the horse pasture beside it.

Quilting and Stamping?

At our last team meeting, we learned how to make these "puff" quilted card elements using packing material and then wrapping a stamped image around it. Since I am a quilter, I decided to try a different material to stuff my image.... ...batting. It worked really well. So, this is a card I created last night using both of my creative loves.........sewing and stamping. I stitched around the card elements and used the quilt batting as the stuffing inside the stamped image. This image is called "Fresh Flowers" T-2687 in our new catalog. I used the AquaColor crayons to color it in. Boy, do I love those. The colors are so rich and vibrant. I just outlined the image with them and then pulled the color in with a Dove blending pen.......worked great! The sentiment is one of our new GWP stamps. It can be yours free with a $30 purchase. I accented it with the new stamp set Simply Divine R-2702, which has wonderful vines, leaves and flowers. I love that new set, it is so versatile. Until next time...............
